The story:

When Captain Cook and his crew sailed the Endeavour to New Zealand shores in 1769, they were roused in the wee hours of each morning by the deafening bird song.

The ship's botanist Joseph Banks captured to moment in his journal: ‘This morn I was awakd (sic) by the singing of the birds ashore... the numbers of them were certainly very great who seemed to strain their throats with emulation perhaps..their voices were certainly the most melodious wild musick I have ever heard almost imitating small bells but with the most tuneable silver sound imaginable ...they begin to sing at about 1 or 2 in the morn and continue till sunrise,"

The paper:

Each roll is 10.05 metre (L) x 52cm (W), made from high quality 147GSM, uncoated, non-woven paper, sourced from certifiably sustainable forests.
